LINA HUSSEINI (French-Lebanese, born 1965, Beirut, Lebanon) is a self-taught artist living in Beirut. She holds a degree in Public Administration from the American University of Beirut, but her artistic journey took her in a different direction.
Her work reflects a fusion of Middle Eastern and Western influences, creating a form of transcendence that bridges diverse cultures and sensibilities. Through her experimentation with materials, colors, and compositions, she transforms ordinary elements by placing them in unfamiliar contexts. Her approach challenges how people perceive things in daily life, encouraging a fresh perspective. Her artworks exude a sense of positivity and freedom, suggesting liberation from societal norms.
Lina Maalouf Husseini is a pioneer in the use of PVC as her primary artistic medium. Her creative journey evolved into a collaborative partnership with her husband, Roland Husseini, an engineer and PVC specialist. Together, they merge her artistic vision with his technical expertise, producing unique and unconventional artworks that retain an element of spontaneity.
Her PVC sculpture, "Together," is part of the permanent collection of the Peoria Riverfront Museum in Peoria, Illinois.
She exhibited in Beirut, Limassol, Dubai, New York, Miami, Abidjan, Marseille, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. She also participated in auctions dedicated to humanitarian causes.
