My hands shape what my heart feels when words cannot.

« When an inanimate object communicates, this in itself is an achievement. The ability to transform matter into communicative art works is an ability that Lina Husseini masters. She brings us elements of human perception through molded pieces that transcend, almost, to being alive. » Curator, Dr. Tony Karam

‘’Shaping the Unseen’’ explores beauty beyond the visible—a beauty felt, imagined, or sensed rather than directly observed. Here, aesthetics is not merely about surface appeal but the deeper, often hidden, essence of form and design. The PVC sculptures, with their modern, fluid shapes, suggest that beauty can emerge from the abstract, from the interplay of light, color, and structure. They transform intangible concepts of harmony, proportion, and balance into tangible works of art.

"Insights" - I aim to capture the essence of both external inspiration and my intuitive process in my artworks. They reflect the influences that inspire me and my profound inner understanding. These 'INSIGHTS' stem from various sources, including 'The Living’, 'People’s Boundaries’, 'The Writings’, ‘Monuments' or simply 'The Esthetics’. My desire is to offer viewers a window into my creative journey, inviting them to explore the deep significance of my sculptures.

Sometimes, I find beauty in the little things. ‘Aesthetics’ alone can be a source of inspiration.

"The Living" is a profound source of inspiration for me. Walking in gardens, observing the intricacies of nature, and immersing myself in its vibrant colors, whether in reality or through renowned works of art, takes me on a journey of serenity. This tranquility is something I strive to translate into my sculptures.

"People's Boundaries" explores the barriers that individuals and societies construct, both for themselves and between each other. These walls, erected to separate different peoples or cultures, often breed hatred, violence, and discrimination. In my sculptures, I broke these walls of intolerance.

"Monuments," both historical and contemporary, as well as architecture and town planning, are traces left by different civilizations. They are landmarks for people and sources of inspiration for my creations. Gaudí's Casa Milà and Casa Batlló are prime examples that inspire me.

“The Writings” are what History has left us. They also represent freedom of expression. By crumpling these papers, we seek to erase, conceal, and preserve our privacy, while also potentially censoring them. In my sculptures, I aim to express these complex feelings.

MEMENTO In reverse, we sought to interpret the origins of life. 'MEMENTO' transcends the boundaries of time and space. Fragments of the past sculpted in PVC, frozen within a glimmer of eternity. This contemporary material, laden with emotions and meanings. The artworks depict the flow of time and the impermanence of life. These mementos — the Human Being, the Earth, the stars — guide our gaze towards the past, reminding us that every moment is precious and ephemeral.

MEMENTO #3 The awakening of humanity. "Eve" embodies Humanity, a living symbol. She carries Life within her. She bestows it and accompanies it. She is its very essence. Her stature, intentionally more imposing than the stars, proclaims the unique importance of the Human Being in the Universe. The glittering violet that envelops her, emits a captivating radiance, inviting dreams and the exploration of the mysteries of existence. Within this halo of color, questions awaken. Which paths will Eve follow? What echoes will she leave behind? What future will she etch for Humanity?

MEMENTO #2 The Birth of planet Earth is revealed. Through 300 spirals, time stretches and folds, evoking a ballet of clock hands in perpetual motion. Each of these curves tells a story, a chapter written in time. The vibrant blue is the essence of Water, the foundation of Life. The abundant green symbolizes Nature, vital to all forms of Life. In contrast, the words in red reveal themselves, a puzzle for the curious gaze. Red expresses passion, vitality, an echo of our existence. Finally, the red dot at the bottom of the artwork offers a profound reflection. It reminds us of our ephemeral passage on this earthly scene, like a shooting star.

MEMENTO #1 Stars in metamorphosis. Sixteen sculptures unveil "The Birth of Stars," a poem shaped by time. Eleven fragments, sculpted with emotion, illustrate the evolution of celestial bodies to the rhythm of the universal clock. They hold the secrets of star birth. The gentle gradient of fuchsia envelops them in a soothing mist. Five sculptures emerge from the ages, incandescent in the fiery red of passion. Like stellar titans, they illuminate the space with their fervent narrative. Why the choice of stars? Like a mystical muse, they captivate dreams, weaving enigmas in the darkness. They awaken fundamental questions, reminding us of our origins lost in distant gleams, guiding navigators through the ethereal ocean. They influence beliefs and give rise to legends.

"About People and Relationships" In our daily lives, we're often influenced by the people around us. We tend to follow the rules and norms of society, whether we realize it or not. Being part of a community provides a sense of belonging and safety. However, sometimes it's good to question and challenge these norms. This kind of rebellion can actually help society make progress. For my collection, I wanted to explore different ways people relate to each other.

"Thoughts in Color" Thoughts and emotions through my colorful sculptures. The abstraction gives free rein to your own feelings and interpretations.

"Whirlwind of Emotions" - Brightly colored sculptures loop and swirl around themselves, eclipsing and challenging academic rules. Exuberant in their presentation, the pieces take on a life of their own as they become characters.

"Tribute to Beirut" - I created this collection of sculptures numbered 1 to 21 as 21-gun salute in homage to Beirut.

"200 Degrees" - The melting point of my creations. The ebullition of my emotion, transforming with split-second improvisations. Molding amorphous materials into discernible shapes. My escapes towards serenity. My interpretations of happiness.
